DisplayingUsing genomic tools to better understand disease epidemiology and virulence mechanisms
Current major projects centre on using genomic tools to better understand disease epidemiology and virulence mechanisms and to inform vaccine design. Areas of interest include bovine theileriosis, mycoplasmology and aquatic animal health. Future work aims to use genomics, proteomics and microbiomics as a basis for computational technologies such as reverse vaccinology and risk-based tools for disease prediction based on network analysis. Cheryl collaborates extensively with Universities and research agencies.
